Ernesto is originally from Puerto Rico and has served in the U.S. Navy in the military intelligence operations field. He was stationed in Washington DC at Naval Research Lab and the Office of Naval Intelligence. During his military career he was honored with the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement medal and Coast Guard meritorious unit commendation medal for excellent service. After serving his country, he embarked on his career serving with the Federal Government, specifically the Social Security Administration. In his 11 years with the Federal government, Ernesto developed an array of skills managing complex operations and providing excellent customer service to vulnerable communities. His achievements included maximizing efficiency and productivity in high-volume, fast-paced settings, and interpreting and communicating complex government policies and regulations for clients and colleagues. In addition he is fluent in English, Spanish and Italian. Ernesto settled in to life in Austin with his spouse and their three dogs after relocating from California in 2018. He spends his free time traveling, enjoying the cultural scene in addition to being an excellent home chef. He enjoys supporting local charities and organizations that positively impact the LGBTQIA+ and youth communities.
Ernesto has also developed multiple arts and educational programs during his time working to achieve his bachelor degree in Pre -Law and Master of Arts in Management and Cultural Administration from the University of Puerto Rico. In addition, he served as Director of University of Puerto Rico Alumni Association board of Directors. During his term with the organization, he coordinated several fund-raising events, book presentations, concerts and other cultural events. He also oversaw the cataloging project of the association historical archives and edited and published a publication recounting the organization's history.
Ernesto has mastered the skills in leadership and teamwork unique to the armed forces and federal government and brings them to bear in his Real Estate career to serve buyers and sellers. He is a purpose-oriented professional and thrives on providing the tools that individuals need to overcome obstacles and achieve their homeowner goals.
