Ben supports the ArtSpace Charter School of Asheville, Warren Wilson College and is a contributor to UNCA Department of Music and choirs. He once published an article about condominium purchasing in Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Ben was the president of a local neighborhood association for many years and is on the condo board for the Laurel as vice president. He attended Furman University, University of Florida and Southeastern of Wake Forest and received a masters degree in counseling and education.
