My name is PJ, and I want to extend my services and skills to any (and all) nationalities, backgrounds and sexual orientations in Southern Maine. Specifically, from York to Portland and everywhere in between. When I discovered 'gayrealestate.com,' I was shocked to learn how few Brokers are willing to offer their services, specifically, to the gay and Lesbian community? I'm thinking, either there aren't many Gay/lesbian Brokers in genral (unlikely), or - there is an unwillingness by the majority to be exposed? I don't know the answer. I do, however, see a big opportunity for both myself and you (the potential client).
I grew up in Maine in a very loving, family first, home environment. I was taught from an early age to be accepting and respectful to everyone! My folks did very well for themselves in Real Estate development, and my mom was a Broker for years. After high school I headed to Boston for college and attended/graduated from Northeastern University with a double major - Economics/Political Science - in just four years. From there I headed to New York City and landed a job on Wall St as a phone clerk on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange! I rose the highest ranks as an Institutional Equity Trader and sustained a successful career for nearly 20-years. With all due respect to my fellow Brokers and Mainers, I strongly feel that I bring to the table and large set of skills that are rarely seen in this state, as a result of my years away. There are a lot of skills I mastered in my Wall St days that are both unique to the area AND transferrable as it relates to real estate. For example: I have superb communication skills (both verbal and written - I'm also a published author); I am extremely fastidious; I am comforting; willingness to listen and hear; inquisitive; thorough; no nonsense; open-minded; considerate, and I've mastered a unique marketing system that nobody else in Maine utilizes - yet. I also have a great network of vendors. From the Mortgage Lender I partner with to the plumber and electrician who always respond to my requests in a timely manner.
In a strong market like we have been experiencing in the last few years - with low interest rates and low inventory - you must hire a Broker who thinks outside the box. Its still very much a Sellers market! In fact, price and marketing strategy is what separates me from the other Brokers in this area.
